Bulimia Treatment

Residential Treatment for

Our Bulimia Nervosa residential treatment program provides a non-hospital type setting that allows for unconditional support. We offer a holistic approach to our treatment modalities that provide our residents with freedom of expression, autonomy with their meal preparations, and access to a treatment team that offers compassion coupled with a wealth of knowledge. We have been operating as a private eating disorder treatment facility center in Florida for over 25 years and we pride ourselves on having expertise in this area of addiction. Our residential program will open up doors for your recovery and set the foundation for your continued journey.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Treatment [IOP] is an abbreviated version of the PHP program. IOP is intended for individuals making the transition from higher levels of care. These may include inpatient/hospital-based, residential, and partial hospital settings. Considerably more comprehensive than typical weekly or bi-weekly outpatient treatment, IOP typically involves weekday sessions that are a minimum of three hours per session. Attendance may range from a minimum of 3X to a maximum of 7X weekly. The program is comprised of group and individual sessions, ongoing consultations with the program dietitian, medical oversight, and many of the services offered at both the residential and partial hospital levels of care. Part of the mission of IOP is to begin the process of making the final transition from Milestones to home. Like PHP, telehealth services are offered to those out-of-area individuals approved by the clinical team. Once more, the last day of Milestones and the next day home is intended to be as “seamless” as possible.

PHP [Day] Treatment

The Partial Hospital Program [PHP], sometimes referred to as “Day Treatment”, is intended as a “step-down” or transition level of care. It is intended for people ready to put into practice the experiences gained from their residential stay. PHP involves a minimum of three days and a maximum of seven days of weekly participation. The transition to this program may necessitate arranging for “room and board” off-site or near-site to Milestones. In some instances, arrangements can be made to remain at the residential campus while participating. For out-of-area participants, a telehealth option may be available. This level of care consists of the same elements experienced in the IOP program with an additional schedule of therapies and activities identical to those of the residential program. A typical PHP schedule begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 or 4:00 PM. Not included are a grocery allowance, transportation to and from the clinical campus, and the evening, weekend, and overnight components afforded to the residential participants. * *Unless boarding at the residential campus

Telehealth Programs

Our Bulimia Telehealth Program extends nationwide through telehealth, offering the advantages of IOP or PHP. Virtual support groups, individualized therapy, group therapy, nutrition support, and evening meetings are available, subject to meeting the criteria for this level of care. Access comprehensive treatment conveniently from your location, addressing Bulimia through our telehealth platform.

Stabilization Program

Recovery from an eating disorder is usually not a “one-and-done” event. Sometimes, like any chronic illness, people who have gained a hold on recovery may lose their footing or find themselves in need of rebalancing themselves. To that end, we offer an opportunity to return to Milestones and “do a reset.” Whether you have retreated to old behaviors or find yourself “at risk” with repeated thoughts calling you to the food or shaming you for eating, there is the stabilization program. The stabilization track involves a minimum 14-day commitment and is covered by most insurances. Stabilization is an option specifically tailored to get people “back up and/or staying up “on their feet.”

Aftercare Support Program

Our Bulimia Aftercare Program offers a support network led by our dedicated Alumni Coordinator. This resource provides ongoing support and access to additional resources after completing any level of Bulimia treatment. Whether transitioning from residential, partial hospitalization, or intensive outpatient treatment, our aftercare program ensures continued guidance and assistance on your journey toward lasting recovery from Bulimia.
