Marty Lerner, PhD.
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Lerner is a licensed and board certified clinical psychologist who has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders since 1980. He has appeared on numerous national television and radio programs that include The NPR Report, 20/20, Discovery Health, and ABC’s Nightline, as well as, authored several publications related to eating disorders in professional literature, national magazines, and newspapers including USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Miami Herald, Orlando and Hollywood Sun Sentinels. An active member of the professional community here in South Florida since finishing his training, Dr. Lerner makes his home in Ft. Lauderdale with his wife Michele and daughters Janelle, Danielle and their dog, Reggie.
Nikki Glantz, RDN,COO
Nikki Glantz, RDN has served as the Milestones Eating Disorders Program dietitian for the past 19 years and has a diversified background in working with patients suffering with both eating disorders and related mental health issues. A graduate of The University of Florida’s Health Sciences Program, as well as, having an advanced degree from Florida International University with a specialty in Dietetics and Nutrition, Nikki provides an invaluable service to her clients and the patients at Milestones.
In addition to being the proud mother of three boys and married to her husband David since graduating college, Nikki is an active member of the South Florida community. She is highly regarded as the “go to” person among family, friends, and especially her colleagues at Milestones. She also maintains a part-time private practice at the Milestones Cooper City Campus and serves as a consultant to local chemical dependency programs in the area.
Kristina Beaudry, LMHC, NCC, MAC,QS
Kristina Beaudry is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor who has been working in the field of eating disorders and addictions for over 10 years. She earned her masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and completed her internship at Broward Health’s crisis stabilization unit.
Kristina is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and holds a certificate as a Masters Addiction Counselor. Kristina is passionate about learning new tools to better support clients healing and has completed training to be an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist. She enjoys helping clients begin to heal old wounds and create a life they enjoy living. She is passionate about helping people find their voice, work through their shame and learn to treat themselves with compassion.
Erin Chavez, BA
Director of Operations/Admissions Director
Erin, originally a South Florida native, recently returned to the area after living in Northern and Southern California for the past 6 years.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, she has a degree in Event Management and Hospitality. Erin handles admissions, human resources and is our Zen electronic medical records master.
Erin lives in Davie with her family. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Priscilla Valadares, LMHC
Primary Therapist/Art Therapist
With a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Prescott College in Arizona, Priscilla had worked as an intern at Milestones, prior to joining our staff as our resident expressive arts therapist. Priscilla has a background working with both substance dependency and eating disorder patients at various South Florida facilities and settings.
A member of the American Art Therapy Association [AATA], Priscilla makes her home here in South Florida with her husband, three children and their cat, Finnegan.
Ariel Hernandez, LMHC
Ariel is a veteran of the Army National Guard and joins our team with a business background after having completed her Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Miami. With a graduate degree in Mental Health counseling from Nova Southeastern University, Ariel had worked as an intern at Milestones, prior to joining our staff as a primary therapist. Ariel has a background working in substance abuse and addiction at various South Florida facilities and has worked with both adults and adolescents living a life in recovery.
Ariel, her husband, and their two children live in South Florida, and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and training in jiu-jitsu.
Sakinah Osborne, RMHCI, NCC
Sakinah is an Army veteran with a bachelor’s degree in business from Florida A & M University. Prior to pursuing her graduate degree, she worked in the healthcare industry in various marketing roles. While pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University, she began as an intern here. She is now our newest primary therapist.
She is an active member in diverse community organizations and has led various initiatives to serve indigent populations locally and abroad. Sakinah, her husband and two children reside in South Florida and when not at Milestones enjoys traveling and reading.
Nathaniel Keller, MD
Psychiatrist / Medical Director
Dr. Keller completed his medical degree at the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv and New York City and post-graduate training at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of the University of Pittsburg Medical Center. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Keller holds positions as a assistant professor of Psychiatry at the University of Miami School of Medicine and enjoys affiliations with several local hospitals as a psychiatric consultant. He has served as medical director and attending physician at Milestones for the past several years in addition to maintaining a private practice in the area.
Linda Dolin, MD
A graduate of Chicago Medical in 1986 and completing her residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 1989, Dr. Dolin serves as our internal medicine consultant and plays and active role with our program at Milestones. A resident of South Florida with her husband and children, Dr. Dolin has served as a primary care physician for several local hospitals and facilities in our area and has been part of the Milestones clinical team for the past several years.
Kathy McAdams, RN
Kathy previously worked at Memorial Hospital in South Florida. She works directly with Dr. Dolin and Dr. Keller to ensure the medical needs are met for both the residential and outpatient participants. When not assisting our clients here at Milestones, Kathy enjoys traveling to interesting locales.
Samantha Sandor, MS
Admissions Coordinator/Case Management
A native Floridian from Ft. Lauderdale, Sam serves as our admissions coordinator at Milestones. She has just completed Masters Degree in Psychology. Aside from her academic ambitions, Sam is an avid Yoga enthusiast and enjoys several of the outdoor activities the South Florida area offers. Sam and her child reside in South Florida.
Cristina Milian, BS
Born in Ecuador, Cristina, works as a Resident Manager at Milestones. After receiving her BS in Advertising, she moved to the United States 12 years ago and has worked for Milestones since 2017. In her spare time, Cristina serves as part of the CERT (Community Emergency Rescue Team). She has one child and when not at Milestones, enjoys volunteering at the school.
Diane Castro, AS
Diane joined Milestones as a Resident Manager in March, 2019. She has experience in the medical field, including time as a surgical technician and has just completed her 1st year of a nursing program. She has two grown children and four grandchildren, as well as, several “fur”babies.
Prior to joining Milestones in 2012, Cathy served as an account manager for a large industrial distributor and manufacturer. She enjoys the work she does now, helping individuals learn about Milestones and spreading the word about our program in the treatment community. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Originally from Michigan, Paula joined Milestones in April 2019. Paula keeps our facility up and running and looking its best, as well as, driving our clients to and from the Center each day. She had previous experience driving physically and mentally challenged individuals for the county, as well as, driving for an assisted living facility, catering to those with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She has a grown son. Paula is an animal lover and when she is not working she enjoys spending time with her cat and three dogs.
Mark works as a corporate representative with a printing franchise by day and since 2011 has been driving our clients to various support meetings and events during the evenings and weekends.
